Prior to finalising your travel arrangements, there are some very important items of consideration.
Passport, Entry & Personal Circumstances
It is entirely your responsibility to ensure passport validity and nationality requirements are met for your destination. Whilst your travel specialist will assist in providing general guidelines for Visa and Entry Requirements where requested pertaining to your destination(s), it is entirely your responsibility to adequately consider and adhere to any relevant requirements, prior to making payment for your travel arrangements.
Pertaining to your destinations of travel and passport nationality – this includes:
- Entry requirements.
- The permitted length of stay.
- Any applicable visa requirements.
- Any relevant personal circumstances that may impact your ability to enter your destination(s) of travel.
- Any prior criminal convictions that may impact your ability to enter your destination(s) of travel.
- Any prior visited, restricted destination(s) that may impact your ability to enter your destination(s) of travel.
You should seek thorough assistance from the appropriate consulate, high commission, or embassy within Australia. These sources are equipped to provide destination(s) specific information and should be approached directly for correct advice prior to finalising your travel arrangements.
Vaccination, Medical & Health Requirements
Jetsetter Travel does not provide guidance or advice on medical/health requirements for your upcoming holiday. Your doctor is the expert on your individual health requirements and can give you advice on travelling that's specific to your health care needs. Take their advice.
- See your doctor prior to departure. You need enough time to apply their advice.
- Ask if it's safe for you to travel. Especially if you're a mature traveller or have a pre-existing condition. If you rely on specialized care, it may be hard to find overseas.
- If you're planning to travel while pregnant, talk to your obstetrician, travel insurer and airline. They can advise if there's any other steps you can take to reduce risks to you and your unborn child. Tell your doctor where you're going. Ask for preventative advice that suits your needs in that destination.
- Ask your doctor what vaccinations or boosters you need. Some require several courses over time.
- Ask for practical advice for while you're away. Your doctor can advise you how to reduce the risk of having problems health problems overseas.
COVID-19 Vaccination, Entry & Testing Requirements
The destinations you're travelling to may have restrictions in place or requirements for travel, specifically relating to COVID-19. Failure to comply with travel requirements may result in you being unable to use the travel products purchased and experience disruption to your travel plans and additional costs. Whilst your travel specialist will provide guidelines relating to this – it remains your responsibility to adequately consider this information prior to making payment for your travel arrangements.
Passport Validity and Name Accuracy
Your Travel Specialist will request a copy of your Passport for validity checking purposes, however, please strongly note that it is entirely your responsibility to ensure passport validity requirements are met for your destination. In addition to this, it is your responsibility to ensure the first, middle and surname for each guest in your traveling party provided to your travel specialist at the time of booking matches the passport exactly. Passports must have at least six months validity from the return date back to Australia. Should your Passport not meet these requirements, you must ensure applications for renewal are processed with enough time. Your Travel Specialist will assist with this, however it is your responsibility.
Travel Insurance – Existing Medical Conditions
It is your responsibility to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to your Travel Specialist. There may be essential screening processes applicable if you’re seeking cover for an existing medical condition. Please ensure you have referred to the attached PDS relevant to the product distributed for a thorough overview and understanding of automatically covered conditions and the process required. Failure to disclose relevant conditions may result in an insurance claim denial. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for additional information.
An existing medical condition can be classified as: any medical condition which at the time you buy your policy is: chronic; or displaying symptoms; or under investigation; or pending follow-up consultation, treatment or surgery; or where these are recommended or planned; or metastatic; or terminal; or in the six months prior to the time you buy your policy there has been: treatment by a medical practitioner; or medication prescribed; or surgery.

Should circumstances relating to the above arise, including any of the following: prohibit your travel, result in boarding denial or deportation or require swift and costly amendment prior to your departure – Jetsetter Travel will not provide compensation; financial or otherwise.
